Everyone wants to achieve success. But most of us procrastinate or let our fears hold us back. In “Achieving Unlimited Success,” Dennis A. Kelley tells us how to stop sabotaging ourselves so we can live the life of our dreams. The book focuses largely on assisting entrepreneurs since Kelley is himself a business coach, but the methods here can help anyone achieve any goal with positive thinking and taking regular action to meet that goal—even if you spend only 15 minutes a day on your goal, says Kelley, you will be two full weeks farther along by the end of a year.
Kelley provides practical advice on how to start down the path to success. He gives worksheets for creating personal vision statements and writing down goals; then he continually asks us to rethink and revise those goals so they are specific, realistic, and measurable. He suggests setting goals for the next 1-3 years, and then breaking those goals down into what is achievable within the next 90 days.
Many people want success, but most doubt it can ever happen, or they fear failure so they never try. Kelley analyzes the Ten Most Common Self-Limiting Beliefs people have and explains how to overcome those false beliefs. Ultimately, he reminds us that each of us is the only one standing in the way of our own success. He warns us not to listen to negative people, to see failure as part of the path to success, and to remember Thomas Edison’s thousands of failures before perfecting the light bulb. As Edison himself said, “The greatest weakness lies in giving up. The most certain way to succeed is always to try just one more time.”
Inspirational examples abound in this book, including the stories of such famous people and businesses as Michael Jordan, Tiger Woods, Charles Schultz, Colonel Sanders, Mrs. Fields cookies, and Subway restaurants. Best of all, Kelley tells his own story of how he came to achieve success. As a teenager, he started out working in the mailroom of a bank. He soon set a goal to rise to the top in the banking world. When he did not have money to go to college, he continued at the bank until he worked his way up to being a regional president of one of the biggest banks in the nation. With such a track record, Kelley is an authoritative writer who can motivate the rest of us to the same unlimited levels of success he set for himself.
“Achieving Unlimited Success” and author Dennis Kelley are the perfect guides to success. As a business and entrepreneur coach, Kelley knows first hand the importance of having mentors and of networking. As a business coach, he teaches the tools needed to make it in the business world. He reveals what successful business people have always known—that networking is really just about making friends. After reading “Achieving Unlimited Success,” I felt greater clarity about my own personal and professional goals as well as more certainty that I could achieve those goals. With Kelley and his book as mentors, I am sure anyone could manifest their dreams.
“Achieving Unlimited Success” stands out among the other motivational books in the marketplace.
