Welcome to Issue 11 (January 2010) of the SUPERIOR BOOK PROMOTIONS newsletter! HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE! E-books have become the hottest thing in the book world today. Amazon reported that on Christmas Day it sold more Kindle books than paper books - why, because the Kindle Reader was one of this year's most popular Christmas presents, so on Christmas morning, when people opened their Kindle readers, they had to play with them by ordering books. But did you know that even if you don't own a Kindle, you can still read books formatted for Kindle? You just need Amazon's free application for your windows PC which you can download here. (The Mac version is coming soon). It only takes a minute and Kindle has many free books and almost all books are priced under $10, including all of my own novels. Why do this? Kindle books are cheaper than paper books and you can store them easily on your PC. And while the Kindle reader does not display color, your PC will so you get a better visual experience for those coffee table books you no longer need to have cluttering up your coffee table. If you're still debating whether to buy a Kindle Reader, this is an easy fun way to try out Kindle books at a cheaper price. But don't worry. Print books will be around for many years to come. However you like your books packaged, I wish you much happy reading in 2010! Tyler R. Tichelaar
